My name is Damilola Johnson, but you can call me “Lola.” I started Locomotive out of a desire to help emerging businesses avoid the expensive pitfalls that I have seen repeated too many times in my career. By laying the foundational track on which your business will operate for years, we can avoid exhaustive remedial accounting costs in the future. The most extensive, time consuming work for any accounting team is in repairing, reorganizing, and restarting a company’s financials. That’s why I chose the name Locomotive—we put you on the right track from the beginning so you can move forward with confidence. We are Locomotive. Financials. On Track.
I have seven years of accounting experience that includes everything from large companies to small startups and across a wide array of industries including oil and gas, real estate, medical, and educational software technologies. I obtained my bachelor’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas in 2014. I am Nigerian-born and have lived in New York and various parts of Texas for the past 14 years. I enjoy new experiences—traveling to new places, trying new restaurants or types of food, and even picking up new hobbies (lately, it’s golf, tennis, and board games). I have rescued two dogs, Taffy and Chewie, and my fiancé (not entirely kidding), and we live in North Austin.
Paul Njoku is a consultant with Locomotive and is also separately the founder and managing member of PKN Accounting and Tax Services PLLC. Paul has eight years of accounting experience managing financial records of public and private companies in the oil and gas industry. He has worked with Chevron and a private billion-dollar corporation, Hilcorp, as a financial analyst. After gaining experience with larger corporations, Paul decided to pursue his passion of establishing an accounting firm assisting small businesses with managing books, preparing tax returns and consulting business on SBA loans and grants.
Paul graduated from Texas Southern University Magna Cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting, later earning his CPA. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball with friends, going on trips with his wife and kids, and being an active member within his church community.
